MTM Hydro’s stainless steel plugs provide a fast and improved quality control system for your high-pressure joints, ideal for quickly disconnecting hoses, guns or all pressure wash accessories.
As a general rule, MTM Hydro 3/8" connections are normally located between the pump and the spray gun where a 3/8" hose is commonly used.. When buying plugs and couplers, the male model has exposed threads while the female version has threads inside the fitting. See image for reference.
All MTM stainless steel caps are National Thread (NPT), which means they have a male or female tapered thread (depending on the model). When installing NPT fittings on another NPT thread, we recommend using 4-5 Teflon strips wound clockwise or 2-3 drops of Loctite sealant.
